WARREN CROCUS GREENSOMES 2025

The Warren Crocus Greensomes Stableford is played over 18 holes and all clubs are invited to enter pairs in both Division 1 and Division 2. 25 clubs took part at The Warren Golf Club which was looking it's finest after the recent rains. DevonGolf's Competitions Director Tim Aggett was the starter on a breezy 1st tee whilst Competition Manager Wendy Stanbury stayed warm in the clubhouse.

Division 1 played in the morning and first out were the Warren's Susan Broderick & Barbara Cavill (PH 19) who scored 37 points to set a good target for the rest of the field. Scores stayed around the early 30s (or sometimes less!) until East Devon's  Jill Dunsford & Claire Dowling  (PH 12) posted 38 points. But not long after Dainton Park's Karen Cole & Sarah Martin (PH 16) carded 44 points which proved unbeatable.

Division 2 saw Thurlestone's Kaz Phillips & Sue Curry (PH 24) score 34 points which was immediately bested by Saunton's Hilary Calvert & Jen Kirley (PH 27) by 1 point. Lesley Ball & Wendy Roberts (Dainton Park - PH 25) and Maggie Caws & Diana Johnson (Okehampton - PH 23) both scored 36 points. Last to hand their card in were Warren's Mary Dummett & Lesley Turpin with 37 points but it was a great score of 42 points from Bovey Tracey's Jane Hodgson & Sarah Faithfull (PH 24) which won the Warren Crocus Salver Division 2.

The Warren ladies were, as always, amazing and acted as ball spotters throughout the day. The course was at its best, thanks to the greens staff, and the hospitality and food in the clubhouse was second to none. All very much appreciated.
