DEVON'S GUDRUN THORSTEINSDOTTIR PLAYS FOR HER COUNTRY
DevonGolf are very proud of Gudrun Thorsteinsdottir (formerly Nolan) who was recently picked to play for Iceland in the European Ladies' Team Championship 2024 at the Real Sociedad Hipica Espanola Club de Campo in Spain. Gudrun's home club is East Devon and she is currently a student in the United States at the University of Central Arkansas having just finished her freshman year.
21-year old Gudrun's handicap is +0.2 and she was recently a very strong member of the DevonGolf Women's South West Inter-Counties team. Indeed, Gudrun flew out to begin training the day after that competition finished in Cornwall. Gudrun was also the Devon Women's Champion in 2023 and runner-up to Lauren McGinnis (Churston) earlier this year.
As well as representing her country, Gudrun finished T4th in the English Women's Open Championship at Stoneham Golf Club in June.
